Latimer County Sheriff pleads innocent to sex charges

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ An eastern Oklahoma county sheriff is pleading innocent to sexual abuse charges.
Latimer County Sheriff Melvin Holly pleaded innocent to charges in a 14-count federal indictment. He's accused of sexually assaulting female employees and inmates of the county jail.
Holly is also charged with lying to the FBI and with threatening to kill an inmate if she told authorities of their contact.
Holly remains in the Muskogee County jail where he's been held since his arrest October 19th.
