OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The state Court of Criminal Appeals is setting a June 26th execution date for convicted killer Jimmy Dale Bland.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson says Bland has run out of appeals and he asked the court on April 23rd to set a date.
Bland was convicted in and sentenced to die for killing Doyle Rains in Tillman County in November 1996 and leaving his body in a field.
Bland was driving Rains' car when he was arrested two days after Rains' death for driving under the influence.
