NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Kyle Murphy goes 2-5 with a two-run home run and four RB-Is and two other Kansas players also homer as the Jayhawks beat Oklahoma 9-4 today.
Kansas moves to 22-26 overall and 8-13 in Big 12 Conference play, while O-U falls to 28-and-17 and 8-.
Buck Afenir's two-run fourth-inning homer off OU starter Nich Conaway helped Kansas rally from an early 2-0 deficit to take a 3-2 lead.
OU tied the game in the fifth, but the Jayhawks used a three-run outburst in the sixth to go ahead for good. Murphy had a two-run double and Robby Price added a run-scoring single in the inning.
John Allman had a solo home run for Kansas in the seventh and Murphy hit a two-run homer for the Jayhawks in the eighth.
Reliever Andres Esquibel allowed one hit and no runs in 3-and-two-thirds innings for the Jayhawks.
Kansas turned four double plays on defense as OU had 13 hits but stranded 11 baserunners. Aaron Ivey went 3-4 to lead the Sooners.
