STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- Oklahoma's Jonathan Horton leaves the NCAA men's gymnastics championships with two individual titles and a school record -- though the biggest prize went to his OU teammate.
Horton won the floor exercise and horizontal bar Sunday to give him five career NCAA individual titles, breaking Bart Connor's school record of three.
Conner, who won two gold medals in the 1984 Olympics, won the all-around title in 1977 and 1978 and the floor exercise in 1979.
Horton accepted his first-place floor exercise medal with a big grin and by playing air guitar as the OU fight song played on the sound system. It was Horton's second-straight floor championship.
Horton also won the all-around title last year, but had to settle for second in the all-around this year, losing to teammate Taqiy Abdullah-Simmons.
