WACO, Texas (AP) _ Kendal Volz struck out 7 and allowed 1 earned run in 7 innings, helping Baylor beat Oklahoma 5-2 and split a doubleheader with the Sooners.

Oklahoma won the first game 5-4 Friday night behind Mike Gosse's 2-run double and 7 innings from starter Heath Taylor.

But in the second game, Baylor's Volz allowed 3 hits as the Bears broke the game open on Chase Gerdes' 2-out, 3-run triple in the 6th inning.

Shaver Hansen also drove in 2 runs for the Bears.
