OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A newspaper report says the New Orleans Hornets are being fined $15,000 by the NBA for comments coach Byron Scott made about college players Kevin Durant and Greg Oden.
The NBA prohibits comments or contact with players who have college eligibility remaining and haven't declared for the draft.
Durant of Texas and Oden of Ohio State are both freshmen and are considered the top two NBA prospects in college.
The San Antonio Express-News says San Antonio is also being fined for comments Spurs' coach Greg Popovich made about the two players.
Scott told The Oklahoman in a story published last week that the two would ``without a doubt'' be the first and second picks in the NBA draft.
The San Antonio newspaper says Scott declined comment about the fine.
The league earlier fined Boston general manager Danny Ainge and Charlotte's Michael Jordan over comments or contact with Oden and Durant.
