ALEX, Okla. (AP) _ The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man killed when a semi overturned onto his car was trying to make a U-turn in front of the rig.

Troopers say Brandon Scott Gjedde of Anadarko died in the crash on state Highway 19 west of Alex in Grady County.

Investigators say Gjedde was eastbound when he made a U-turn and was hit in the driver's side by the rig. The two vehicles then skidded into a culvert and the rig rolled on top of Gjedde's car.

The truck driver was treated and released at a Chickasha hospital.
