A Tulsa County District Court jury decided a drunk driver should spend ten years in prison for his role in a deadly crash.

Teddy Applegate, of Inola, was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana when he ran a stop sign in August 2003. He crashed into another car and killed the driver, Patricia Little of Catoosa. Jurors deliberated more than seven hours late Friday night before deciding Applegate was guilty of first degree manslaughter.

A judge will decide Applegate’s final sentence on April 9th..
