OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma City municipal prosecutors want to delay the trial for a former University of Oklahoma quarterback who faces misdemeanor public drunkenness and disturbing the peace charges.
Police arrested 38-year-old Charles Thompson November 18th at a west-side hotel after managers reported receiving complaints of noise coming from Thompson's room.
The police report says he was arrested after he came out of the room and that he was uncooperative and smelled of alcohol.
Thompson's attorney, Michael Johnson, says Thompson hadn't been drinking and hotel managers confused his room with another room where a loud party was going on.
Thompson's trial was rescheduled for January 29th.
