The Golden Hurricane (7-3, 4-2) is looking to break a 2 game losing streak. TU heads to Dallas to take on the SMU Mustangs (5-5, 3-3). Kickoff is set for 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon in Dallas.
The Mustangs are coming off a 37-27 loss to Houston.
The Golden Hurricane is hoping to rebound from a double overtime loss to Rice. The Hurricane trailed 20-7 at halftime and had 3 4th quarter touchdowns to tie the game 28-all and send it to OT. TU had a season high 568 yards, and Paul Smith threw for a career high 308 yards, but it wasn’t enough; the Golden Hurricane lost 41-38.
The Mustangs are one victory from win number 6, the number needed for bowl eligibility.
TU has two regular season games left, hopefully followed by a bowl game. Tulsa is eligible for a bowl game, but not promised one.
