NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Both Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops and Texas coach Mack Brown acknowledge this year's Sooners are a much different team going into the OU-Texas game.
And both say the reason is Adrian Peterson.
The OU running back from Palestine, Texas, was hobbled by a high ankle sprain last season and was limited to ten yards on three carries.
This year he's healthy. Stoops says the difference isn't even close because with a healthy Peterson it affects every play being called.
And Brown says Peterson may be the best player in the nation and any time a player that good is out of the lineup there is a difference.
The Sooners and Longhorns kick off Saturday afternoon at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
