COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (AP) -- The multimillion-dollar expansion of a Coffeyville refinery and fertilizer plant is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to southeast Kansas.
Texas-based contractor JV Industrial Companies says it plans to hire 400 people before year's end and maybe 1,000 workers by February.
The company said it plans to hire locals to perform a variety of jobs, such as carpenters, scaffold builders, crane operators, riggers, welders and pipefitters.
Coffeyville Resources LLC announced plans in January for the $92-million expansion. The company generates more than $2.5-billion in annual revenues.
