A Delaware County school district faces a lawsuit.

The parents of a Delaware County student say faculty and students in Grove have spread rumors about their 15-year-old son that have ruined his life.

Lyndon and Sheila Dawson wanted their son to grow up in a rural community. They were shocked when someone put graffiti on his locker that claimed he had HIV or AIDS.

Sheila says the school refused to do anything about it, so she filed a lawsuit. Sheila Dawson: "Our family right now lives, you know, three days out of the week apart. Our son goes to another school in another state."

Lyndon Dawson: â€œwe live there through the week and we come home on the weekend.â€

After 12-years, the Dawson's are selling their home and moving out of state.

Grove Schools would not comment on the lawsuit.
