YUKON, Okla. (AP) _ An Oklahoma City teenager dies late last night when he's ejected from a vehicle during an accident on a rural Canadian County road.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Kevin Jones was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Takota Williams of Bethany. The OHP says that shortly after 11 pm, the vehicle ran off the roadway for an unknown reason, struck an embankment and went airborne before hitting a telephone pole.
The vehicle then rolled three times. Jones was riding in the back seat and was thrown about 50 feet from the vehicle. He died at the scene.
Williams and another passenger, 17-year-old Jason Zook of Oklahoma City, were treated and released at an Edmond hospital.
