The new school year got off to a rainy start on Monday, but some Tulsa Public School teachers were greeted with sunshine and roses.
Workers from the "Sunshine & Roses" floral shop took roses to teachers at several area schools. The News on 6 caught up with them at Peary Elementary in east Tulsa. The florists got lots of smiles and "thank-you's" for their surprise. Some teachers received free flower arrangements and others got a free two-week membership to Bally's.
"Sunshine and Flowers" workers couldn't make it to every school, so any teacher who didn't get a rose, but would like one, can visit the shop now through Friday and get a free rose.
Just bring along your school I-D.
