EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- Edmond Santa Fe High School student Gavin Pearson is one of fewer than three dozen nationwide to earn a perfect score of 36 on the recent ACT college entrance test.
About 253,000 students nationwide and about 10,500 in Oklahoma took the test. Pearson says about 30 scored a perfect 36.
Pearson will be a senior this fall at Santa Fe and says he's spending much of his summer considering offers from colleges nationwide.
He says he's narrowed his choices to Yale, Columbia and Washington University in St. Louis, but is planning to visit the University of Texas and Rice.
He plans to major in political science and economics in college.
