STONEWALL, Okla. (AP) _ A Stonewall man is dead after the bicycle he was riding was hit by a car just west of the Pontotoc County town.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Richard Romero was killed in the accident yesterday.

Troopers say Romero was southbound on a county road when he ran a stop sign and was hit and knocked nearly 150 feet by a westbound car on State Highway One.

The driver and a passenger in the car were not injured.
