The solace of the country life seems to be losing its appeal in Oklahoma.

The latest US Census report shows more people are packing up and moving to the city. According to the report, the populations of Rogers and Wagoner counties, near Tulsa, expanded faster than any others in the state from 2000 to 2004.

Suburbs around Oklahoma City, like Mustang, Yukon and El Reno also are experiencing rapid growth.

35 counties, mainly in western Oklahoma, lost residents during the same time. Harmon, Cimarron and Beaver were the three-fastest shrinking counties.
