OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma County prosecutors charge three Hurricane Katrina evacuees with first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of two men.
Twenty-five-year-old Kendrick -A- Simpson; 20-year-old Jonathan -D- Dalton and 31-year-old Latango -W- Robertson also were charged with discharging a firearm with an intent to kill.
Nineteen-year-old Anthony -C- Jones and 20-year-old Glen Palmer were killed when shots from an assault rifle were fired into their car in north Oklahoma City. A third occupant -- 19-year-old London Johnson -- also was hit by gunfire, but survived.
Johnson told police he was with Jones and Palmer earlier in the evening and they had been in an altercation with three men at Fritzi's Music Hall.
Johnson described the assailants, and police received an anonymous tip that the men were Hurricane Katrina evacuees from New Orleans who were living in Norman.
Police reported finding an assault rifle shell casing in Dalton's car.
