Preliminary tests show milk from a dairy cow in Rogers County did not have rabies. A cow from Swan Brothers Dairy in Claremore tested positive for the virus last month.
There was concern unpasteurized milk sold from the cow contained rabies, so 95 people who drank it have started rabies shots. Samples of the milk have been sent to Atlanta for conformation.
The state Health Department recommends people who are receiving the rabies vaccinations complete the series as a preventative measure.
