Whatever you got for Christmas, it probably wasn't what US Marine Lance Corporal Zack Wright got, a day set aside in his honor and Friday was it.

News on 6 reporter Rick Wells sat down with Zack and his girlfriend Andi Martin. Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune proclaimed Friday, Zack Wright day in Tulsa.

Lance Corporal Zack Wright is home on leave from the Marines. When Zack graduated from Union High School last year, he headed off to serve his country. His girlfriend Andi Martin was proud enough to ask the mayor to declare December 30 Zack Wright Day and he did. Quite a Christmas gift.

Andi Martin: "I never give like normal gifts; I try to do creative stuff." Like last summer before he left for Marine boot camp she treated him to a farewell helicopter flight around Tulsa.

Zack is in the 4th Marine Regiment, probably headed to Iraq in June.
