The Golden Hurricane is bowl bound. The first wave of the fans - and all of the players - left Tuesday morning for Memphis.

It's the second bowl game in 3 seasons for TU, and for the fans it's a welcome change from all those years when they didn't have much to look for at the end of a season.

Former TU coaching assistant Tommy Hudspeth: "this could be an interesting ball game because the team that gets the jump on it could have the upper hand througout the ball game. They're both good ball teams, but they're pretty even, and it's going to be a knock down drag out until the first one takes over."

TU plays Fresno State Saturday at noon in the Liberty Bowl.
