Some Tulsa firefighters got a big pat on the back Friday for their help with hurricane relief.

A reception and BBQ lunch was held Friday at the Tulsa Fire Academy for 60 firefighters who went to Mississippi following hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

The crews helped fellow firefighters in Harrison County, Mississippi.

Tulsa Fire Captain Larry Bowles: "our crews have gone down and done everything from manning fire crews and trucks, to assisting other firefighters in re-roofing their house or whatever other need they have."

One crew from Tulsa helped save a 3 month old baby injured in a traffic accident.
