OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Former Democratic state Representative Lloyd Fields says he'll announce on Tuesday that he's running for state labor commissioner.

Current Labor Commissioner Brenda Reneau plans to run for re-election. Reneau is a Republican.

Fields left the state House in 2002 to run for labor commissioner, losing to Reneau by a margin of 52 to 48 percent. He ran unsuccessfully for the state Senate in 2003 following the resignation of former Senator Gene Stipe.

Fields plans a formal announcement on Tuesday at the state Capitol.
