Aircraft mechanics at two Oklahoma Spirit Aerosystems plants are holding a major contract vote Friday.
Mechanics at the Tulsa and McAlester plants are voting Friday on a 5-year contract that could bring them bigger pay checks. The tentative contract calls for a 2-percent pay raise in 2007 and 3-percent raises each of the following three years.
Spirit Aerosystems was created when Canada-based Onex Corporation bought the plants from Boeing earlier this year.
