Some Houston area residents who evacuated to Tulsa are now being allowed to head back home.

Michael Robbins and his family were among about 50 evacuees staying at a shelter at Eastwood Baptist Church in Tulsa. The shelter also served hundreds of meals over the weekend to evacuees. Most people who needed to stay at the facility have left.

The shelter made a big impact on people with few other places to turn to for help. Michael Robbins: “I know there are a lot of people worse off than I am. I'm glad that everybody helped out as much as they did. Very fortunate, my house is still there."

Hurricane evacuee Mindy Fischer: "Oh I'm ready to go home, sleep in my own bed."

Some people in Tulsa still aren't able to return to their homes, especially if they're from area close to the Texas-Louisiana border.
