Sapulpa Police say excessive speed caused an accident last month that killed an officer and his father.

Investigators say Larry Cantrell's patrol car was going 119 MPH when it swerved and hit an embankment.

The official report says Cantrell's speed was unjustified, but officers say the swerving maneuver likely saved the lives of two others in another car.
