STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Stillwater High School pitcher Brett Anderson has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
An Arizona newspaper says Anderson will get a $950,000 signing bonus and up to $80,000 to continue his education if he decides to do so.
The left-hander was 9-and-0 as a senior last year with an ERA of 0.37 and was a second-round pick of the Diamondbacks in the June Major League Baseball draft.
His father is Oklahoma State baseball coach Frank Anderson and he had signed to play at OSU if he decided not to sign a pro contract.
