A woman is alive after her Tulsa County mobile home caught fire, thanks to her dog.

Paula Parker says she was trying to go back to sleep Friday morning after her husband left for work, when her dog Daisy kept trying to get her attention. "My dog Daisy, my faithful dog, she jumped in the bed with me, which she normally doesn't do, unless I say come on. She minds better than my kids actually. I said, get out of my bed, and she wouldn't, and so I knew something wasn't right."

Daisy led her to the opposite end of the mobile home where there was smoke. Within moments, the entire home filled with smoke.

A puppy did die inside.

The mobile home was located on 209th West Avenue, west of US Highway 412.

The fire may have started in the electrical circuit box, but fire investigators are still trying to determine that.
