ENID, Okla. (AP) _ A U.S. Army soldier from Enid who died earlier this month in Iraq will be buried in his hometown.
Staff Sergeant Clint Storey died August 4th after a roadside bomb blast in Ramadi. His body arrived in Oklahoma over the weekend.
His wife, Melissa Storey, said she would leave her Massachusetts home to be with her husband's remains.
The date for his funeral is pending, but it will be held at Central Christian Church in Enid, and Clint Storey will be buried at Enid Cemetery, which donated a plot and waived burial fees.
Clint Storey's mother, Carol Storey Inherst of Enid, says her son said he wanted to be buried in Enid. She says her son signed military papers before he deployed that left her in charge of his remains.
Melissa Storey says that before her husband went to Iraq, he told her that should he be killed, he wanted to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
She says she's disappointed those wishes won't be granted.
