OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Former Oklahoma State tailback Vernand Morency is facing an uncertain future with the Houston Texans.
Although the Texans passed on Southern Cal star tailback Reggie Bush, Morency still has his hands full carving out playing time for the Texans.
Domanick Davis is entrenched as the starter, and the Texans also signed veteran Antowain Smith.
The Texans also have a new coach, with Gary Kubiak replacing Dom Capers.
Selected in the third round of the 2004 draft, Morency rushed for 184 yards and had 10 receptions his rookie season. His primary role last year was as a kick returner, where he averaged nearly 22 yards on 20 returns.
