A motorcyclist is in serious condition after a Monday morning accident in Broken Arrow.
Police say witnesses tell them the 45-year-old man was speeding through traffic and weaving along 129th East Avenue in Broken Arrow.
They say he was trying to pass a pickup truck in a no passing zone when a red Mercedes car tried to turn onto the road.
The driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the bike. He was not wearing a helmet.
Broken Arrow Police Sgt. Ed Ferguson: "It is literally the difference between life and death. I mean this gentleman from what I hear has significant head injuries and there is a good chance this will be a life changing event for him, in part because he wasn't wearing that head protection."
The driver of the motorcycle was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to a local hospital. The two people in the car were not seriously injured.
