OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A report on the feasibility of Oklahoma City University moving from NAIA to NCAA Division I in athletics is complete and in the hands of university officials.
OCU athletic director Jim Abbot says the report will be studied by university officials and no time table is set for determining how the study will affect the decision on whether to move.
The study was conducted by a five-member consultant group that included current and former athletic directors at NCAA universities. It was paid for by the university and the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.
OCU would have to add at least two varsity sports to reach the NCAA minimum and would not be eligible for post-season play for a seven-year probationary period.
