WASHINGTON (AP) -- Oklahoma City is one of 46 nationwide chosen to receive federal money to fight terrorism, but the city may not get funding next year.
The federal Homeland Security Department is awarding a total of $740-million to the 46 based on whether the government thinks the cities are likely targets of terrorists.
But the department says Oklahoma City and ten others may be removed from the list next year based on a new formula that indicates they face a lesser risk of terrorism.
The formula uses intelligence information and law enforcement data to determine the possible threat of terrorism to those cities.
The cities will find out Wednesday how much money they'll receive this year.
