ENID, Okla. (AP) _ A Garfield County group sews a quilt made of underwear in hopes of raising awareness about cancer in men.
The Garfield County Oklahoma Home and Community education groups created a bra quilt last spring to try and raise awareness about women's cancer, so they figured an underwear quilt would do the same for men.
So far they've received about 40 autographed boxers or briefs from prominent Oklahoma men including Oklahoma State University football coach Mike Gundy, OSU men's basketball coach Eddie Sutton, OSU women's basketball coach Kurt Budke, New Orleans Hornets player Desmond Mason and former Governor George Nigh.
When the quilt is finished it will be diplayed at health fairs and education booths around the state and during the Garfield County Fair in September.
