Oklahoma County DA's wife surrenders medical license

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The wife of Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane has surrendered her medical license to avoid having a medical licensing board prosecute her on a probation violation.

The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision unanimously voted Thursday to accept the license of plastic surgeon Lori Hansen.

Hansen was put on a five-year probation with the board after she pleaded guilty in 2002 to two felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation.

She tested positive in July for alcohol, which was a violation of probation with the medical licensure board.

There was no criminal wrongdoing with the violation.

Hansen can reapply for a license in one year.
