OHP Investigates Hit And Run Accident

A hit and run accident shuts down state Highway 51 west of Sand Springs for more than an hour overnight. Around 4 a.m. Friday, a Toyota pickup truck was rear-ended by another vehicle.  The impact caused the truck to go about 200 feet off the road into a pit. 

The pickup's driver was flown to a Tulsa hospital; we don't have his medical condition.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver of the other vehicle stopped in the center median and witnesses say two suspects ran off on foot. 

No one has been arrested.
