TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa Police arrest a Broken Arrow firefighter after investigators say he became intoxicated and sexually assaulted two women.

Prosecutors charged Braden Lyon with attempted rape and sexually battery.

Police say one of the women invited Braden Lyon over to drink tequila with her and her roommate.

The affidavit said as the night went on, Lyon got drunk, then turned aggressive.

The affidavit said Braden Lyon began drinking tequila out of the bottle, then wrestled the women, held them down, put them in a choke hold, choked them, bit them, and pulled their hair. It said he also sexually touched them.

One of the victims was able to get away and police say that's when Lyon sexually assaulted the other.

"When they were there, he basically really attacked one of the females, and he was strangling her again, and that's when he forced her onto the bed and was trying to take her clothes off, and touching her," Tulsa Police Lt. Jillian Phippen said.

Phippen said there was clearly a significant amount of violence and the attempted rape victim had injuries.

"There was really no indication from our victim that something triggered him, to cause this violence and anger within him, and that's what was scary as well, where did that come from within him," Phippen said.

Police say this happened April 30TH and both women spoke with a detective in TPD's Special Victim’s Unit.

"Her story was scary, what happened to her, and we wanted to make sure this person was held accountable for that," Phippen said.

We've asked the City of Broken Arrow for a comment but have not yet heard back.

Lyon's attorney, Stephen Lee, tells us Lyon "absolutely maintains his innocence to the charges."
