The Public Service Company of Oklahoma said Saturday evening that thousands of customers are without power across Green Country.

As of 7:30 p.m. Saturday, there are 18,992 Green Country residents who have experienced a power outage.

The greatest concentration of power outages is located east of the Arkansas River.

The range of affected residents east of the Arkansas River stretch as far north as the Philbrook Museum of Art and as far south as the Creek Turnpike (State Highway 364).

PSO said a tripped transmission line has caused transformers at multiple substations to lock out.

Earlier Saturday, as many as 28,000 customers were without power.

This is a developing story.
