As students head back to class, the state Department of Human Services is hoping to add more staff to help students.
DHS said the expansion will better help families get resources they need such as SNAP, temporary assistance or health coverage.
Casey White from the DHS said they’re trying to "meet families right where they are within their local communities. That can look a lot of different ways and I think we will just work with our local school districts and local school itself to find the best way to meet our customers right where they are."
DHS also said it is developing a plan to help students who are having to attend school virtually.
