School districts across the state are working to provide transparent information to parents and the community as new COVID-19 exposures and positive cases arise. News on 6 has compiled a working list of districts with known positives for teachers, staff, and students.

Updates will be provided daily as they become available.

Tuesday, January 25

Broken Arrow Public Schools: Sequoyah Middle School will move to distance learning on Jan. 27 until Feb. 8, according to the district's reentry plan for COVID-19 exposure and quarantine. The building will remain open and school lunches will still be served outside from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on school days.

Muskogee Public Schools: The district announced that the High School and 7th and 8th Grade Academy at Ben Franklin will move to distance learning due to the rising number of absences for students and staff. They will be in distance learning from Jan. 27-29.


Tuesday, January 19, 2021

Mannford Public Schools: Mannford will shift to distance learning from January 20 to February 7th and return to in-person learning on Feb 8. SEE FULL LETTER HERE

Nowata Public Schools: Due to the number of staff diagnosed with COVID-19 or exposed, the Nowata Middle School and High School will extend virtual classes until Monday, January 25. Nowata Elementary school will return to in-person learning Wednesday, the 20th.

Pawhuska Public Schools: Pawhuska Public Schools is switching to virtual learning on Jan 15 because of COVID-19 cases and the number of students and staff who are isolating. Students will return to in-person learning on February 1st.

Coweta Public Schools: Coweta students will not return to in-person learning until January 11, delayed one week from the original return date due to rising COVID-19 cases.

Okmulgee Public Schools: Okmulgee Public Schools delayed their return to in-person learning from January 4 to January 11. The district will remain in distance learning until the 11th.

Wednesday, December 16

McAlester Public Schools: McAlester Public Schools said all students at Parker Intermediate Center will finish the semester in distance learning. This will start Thursday.

Thursday, December 10

Fort Gibson Public Schools: Fort Gibson Public Schools announced it will be moving to virtual learning. Officials said virtual learning will take place "the week of December 14th through December 18th."

Wednesday, December 9

Berryhill Public Schools: District leaders said that there are seven new positive COVID-19 cases in the district: three at the South Elementary, one from the North Elementary, two from the High School and one from the middle school. The superintendent said that those in contact with positive cases will be quarantined.

Osage Public School: Osage School in Mayes County said they will be in virtual learning starting December 10 through the last day of the semester, December 18. The district said school will resume in-person on January 4.

Muskogee Public Schools: District leaders said Muskogee Public Schools will extend their virtual instruction through December 18.

Monday December 7

Bartlesville Public Schools said that the district will shift all students to distance learning starting December 11.

Thursday, December 3

Henryetta Public Schools: Henryetta Public Schools will shift to distance learning beginning December 7 through the end of the semester on December 17.

Afton Public Schools: Afton will resume in-person learning following Thanksgiving break.

Braggs Public Schools: Braggs students will be in virtual learning starting November 30 through December 4.

Catoosa Public Schools: Regular, in-person school will resume on Monday, November 30.

Coweta Public Schools: "For the week of Monday, November 30th - Sunday, December 6th, Coweta Public Schools will use safety protocols required at the Orange level." To learn more, please visit: www.cowetaps.org.

Dewey Public Schools: All school sites will be open for in-person learning on Monday, Nov. 30.

Hartshorne Public Schools: Students on the traditional option will return to campus on Nov. 30

Haskell Public Schools: HPS will resume in-person learning on Dec. 1.

Nowata Public Schools: Nowata will return to in-person learning on November 30.

Okmulgee Public Schools: Okmulgee students will remain in distance learning through December 4. All athletic and extracurricular activities and practices are also canceled through December 6.

Sand Springs Public Schools: Sand Springs will return to in-person instruction November 30.

Sapulpa Public Schools: Sapulpa students will be in distance learning through Dec. 4.

Tahlequah Public Schools: Tahlequah students in traditional learning will return to face-to-face learning November 30.

Tulsa Public Schools: The TPS School Board had voted to delay the return of 4th, 5th and 6th graders until January 4, instead of the previously proposed Nov. 30.

Union Public Schools: School will resume for all Union students on Monday, Nov. 30, including in-person students in grades 6-12 and students of Boevers Elementary. Bus transportation will also resume for all grades beginning Monday.

Vinita Public Schools: Students not in quarantine will attend in-person at least two days per week.

Wagoner Public Schools: The week of Dec. 1 - Dec. 4 will be virtual for all students due to the increase in covid-19 number s in Wagoner county.


Sunday, November 22

Claremore-Sequoyah Public Schools: The district announced Sunday, Nov. 22 that Sequoyah Public School has had two Elementary students, one Middle School student, one High School student and a support employee test positive for COVID-19.

Saturday, November 21

Claremore-Sequoyah Public Schools say their active number of COVID-19 cases is manageable, but student and employee quarantines are on the rise leading to the transition to distance learning. Claremore-Sequoyah Mid-High and High school students will transition to distance learning for Monday and Tuesday before going on Thanksgiving break.

Wednesday, Nov. 18

Tulsa Public Schools: Tulsa Public Schools said that four classes at Eisenhower International School will shift back to in-person learning and will keep one class in distance learning due to COVID-19-like symptoms. Tuesday, Nov. 17

Owasso Public Schools: Owasso High School students will learning from home for the rest of the semester, and pre-K through 8th grade students will stay in the classroom.


Friday, Nov. 13

Glenpool Public Schools: Glenpool Public Schools will transition students to distance learning from November 16 to November 20 after having 16 students and staff test positive for COVID-19 since Wednesday.

Thursday, Nov. 12

Jenks Public Schools: Jenks Public Schools officials said students in grades 7-12 will be moving to distance learning. 7-12th grade students will begin distance learning on Monday, Nov. 16th and will return to school on December 7th.

Pawhuska Public Schools: Pawhuska Public Schools said a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 but none of the students at the middle and high school will have to be quarantined. The district said they will be virtual on Friday to ensure sanitation at all areas.

Wednesday Nov. 11

Sand Springs Public Schools - Sand Springs will shift to its Distance Learning Model for grades 6 through 12 beginning Thursday, November 12. They will return to in-person learning on Monday, November 30, following Thanksgiving Break

Henryetta Public Schools: Henryetta Public Schools said the high school will transition to distance learning starting November 12 through November 30 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

Tuesday, Nov. 10

Henryetta Public Schools: Henryetta Public Schools announced a confirmed COVID-19 case at the high school. They said all those students who need to quarantine have been notified and will be in quarantine through November 23. Due to Thanksgiving break, students will not return to in-person learning until November 30.

Vinita Public Schools: Vinita Public Schools said that Will Rogers will move to short-term distance learning through November 13.

Monday, Nov. 9

Central Public Schools: Central Public Schools said they will transition to distance learning starting on November 10 and in-person classes will resume November 30.

Union Public Schools: Union Public Schools has announced that students at Boevers Elementary and those in grades 6-12 will move to distance learning beginning this Thursday, Nov. 12. School officials say those students will return to campus on Monday Nov, 30 after Thanksgiving.

Sunday, Nov. 8

Bixby Public Schools: Bixby Public Schools said there are new positive COVID-19 cases at North Elementary School.

Hartshorne Public Schools: The district announced it will be transitioning to distance learning for the next two weeks.

Indianola Public Schools: The district said in a letter Sunday that a member of its staff tested positive for COVID-19. Distance learning will be implemented for the next two weeks and through Thanksgiving break.

Osage Nation: The Osage Nation announced that its school, Daposka Ahnkodapi, will be closed until Nov. 18 due to COVID-19 exposure.

Vinita Public Schools: The district announced Sunday that Vinita Middle School will transition to distance learning due to additional COVID-19 cases.

Friday, Nov. 6

Broken Arrow Public Schools: Broken Arrow Public Schools announced all students in grades 9-12 will move to distance learning starting Monday, Nov. 9. Officials said the distance learning will conclude on Friday, Nov. 20. And as of Tuesday, Nov. 10, students at Centennial Middle School and Sequoyah Middle School will also be moving to distance learning through Friday, Nov. 20. Those students will return to regular instruction on Monday, Nov. 30, as well.

Tahlequah Public Schools: Tahlequah Public Schools announced a positive COVID-19 case at the Middle School. Officials said 24 students who were in close contact will quarantine. Officials said anyone who was in close contact has been notified.

Thursday, Nov. 5

Bixby Public Schools: Bixby Public Schools announced they will transition students in grades 9-12 to distance learning for two weeks starting on November 9. The district said this was due to the rate of COVID-19 transmission in their community.

Wednesday, Nov. 4

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools said a student at Sadler Arts Academy and a student at Cherokee Elementary have tested positive for COVID-19.

Monday Nov. 2

Bixby Public Schools: Bixby Public Schools said that school is canceled on November 3 as seven bus drivers are in quarantine. The district said there will be no distance learning, school is canceled.

Tahlequah Public Schools: A Tahlequah student tested positive for COVID-19 at the High School. Due to close contact, 32 other students were also placed under immediate quarantine. TPS says that if parents were not notified their child was not in close contact. No other changes to classes were made.

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced that Muskogee High School and the Early Childhood Center will continue virtually through Friday, November 6 due to the number of students in quarantine. The district said that in the last 10 school days, 130 students were in contact with the 10 students who tested positive. The district said the extra virtual days will allow students to return next Monday.


Thursday, Oct. 29

Sapulpa Public Schools: Sapulpa Public Schools said Sapulpa High School has canceled the game against Claremore High School on Friday, Oct. 30th due to three positive cases of COVID-19 and other who are now quarantining.

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools said two students at the 7th and 8th Grade Academy tested positive for COVID-19.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools said two students at the High School and one student at Rougher Alternative Academy have tested positive for COVID-19.


Sunday, Oct. 25

Berryhill Public Schools: The district said an individual from Berryhill High School has tested positive for COVID-19. Berryhill Public Schools determined that some students were exposed to the individual. Those families and students will be notified, the school district said.

Haskell Public Schools: Haskell Public Schools announced Oct. 25 that it will transition to distance learning for the next two weeks due to a positive COVID-19 test. Distance learning will begin Monday, Oct. 26 and last through Friday, Nov. 6.

Kansas Public Schools: Due to high school staff members testing positive for COVID-19, the district said Kansas High School will transition to distance learning beginning Monday, Oct. 26 and last through Friday, Oct. 30.

Friday, Oct. 23

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced one high school student has tested positive for COVID-19.

Skiatook Public Schools: Skiatook Public Schools announced that the high school will move to distance learning after four students test positive for COVID-19, sending eight teachers and 120 students into quarantine.

The district said they will move to distance learning for two weeks, until November 6.

Sperry Public Schools: Sperry Public Schools announced three students have tested positive for COVID-19, which resulted in three staff members and 17% of their high school students to move to quarantine. Sperry will also move to distance learning until November 6. Sperry also announced that the football game scheduled for Oct. 23 will be postponed.

Tulsa Public Schools: Will Rogers High School announced they will postpone all homecoming activities as Tulsa County has now been designated as Orange Level II.

Westville Public Schools: Westville Public Schools said they will move to distance learning through October 30 due to lack of available substitutes to cover teachers in quarantine.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools said one student at the High School, one student at Tony Goetz Elementary, one student at 6th Grade Academy at Grant Foreman, and a staff member in transportation has tested positive for COVID-19 since Tuesday.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced two students at the 7th & 8th Grade Academy at Ben Franklin and one student at Rougher Alternative Academy have tested positive for COVID-19.


Friday, Oct. 16

Tulsa Public Schools: In their weekly report, Tulsa Public Schools announced 11 students have tested positive for COVID-19. The district said those that have been exposed have been contacted.

Thursday, Oct. 15

Berryhill Public Schools: Berryhill Public Schools announced an individual at Berryhill South Elementary tested positive for COVID-19. The district said they have contacted those than need to be in quarantine.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

Nowata Public Schools: Nowata Public Schools said that they "have received multiple class identifying Nowata students who have tested positive for COVID-19." The district did not give a number of students but said they have contacted all those families with students who may have been exposed.


Sunday, Oct. 11

Locust Grove Public Schools: The district said it will transition to distance learning beginning Tuesday, Oct. 14. LGPS has had staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 at three of the district's four sites within the last week.

Friday, Oct. 9

Muskogee Public Schools: The district verified a student at the high school tested positive for COVID-19. Muskogee Schools are already scheduled for distance learning and will return to the classroom October 19.

Morris Public Schools: The district said that three high school employees have tested positive for COVID-19. They said that no students have been exposed due to virtual school.

Kansas Public Schools: Kansas Public Schools said a teacher has tested positive for COVID-19. The district said those in contact have been notified and asked to quarantine.

Fort Gibson Public Schools: Fort Gibson High School announced an individual at the high school tested positive for COVID-19. They said they have implemented contact tracing procedures.

Vinita Public Schools: The district announced they will continue short-term distance learning at the high school and will begin distance learning at the middle school and elementary schools.

Dewey Public Schools: Dewey Public Schools said an elementary student has tested positive for COVID-19 and the district will transition to distance learning on October 12-13. The district said their total count of active cases in the district are three elementary students and one staff member.

Union Public Schools: As of Wednesday, October 7, Union Public Schools has reported 43 current positive cases of COVID-19 with 155 people at home in quarantine, for the district of 10,000 students and 2,000 staff. Currently 10 of the cases are from Union's high school. Union has begun contact tracing.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Afton Public Schools: Afton Public Schools said classes would be moving to virtual learning after a faculty member tested positive for COVID-19. Afton Elementary and Middle schools will move to virtual learning for Thursday and Friday. Afton High school will move to virtual only for Thursday and head back to class on Friday. All Schools will resume normal in-person schedules on Monday, October 11.

Nowata Public Schools: Nowata Public Schools announced a student at Nowata High School has tested positive for COVID-19. The district said they have pivoted to virtual learning and students will return to in-person on October 20.

Checotah Public Schools: Checotah High School said they have four students that have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week. They said there are over 40 students in quarantine and will go to distance learning for October 12-13.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

Wyandotte Public Schools: Wyandotte Public Schools announced that due to multiple COVID-19 cases, the district will move to distance learning through fall break. They said the next time they would potentially be on campus would be October 19. They also said all activities during this time period have been canceled.

Tuesday, Oct 6

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools said two students have tested positive for COVID-19. They said they are working to notify those in contact with the positive cases.

Coweta Public Schools: Coweta Public Schools announced an individual has tested positive for COVID-19 and the district has implemented contact tracing protocols.

Haskell Public Schools: Haskell Public Schools will be sending students back to classes in-person on Tuesday with new rules they need to follow to be allowed on campus.

Morris Public Schools: Morris Public Schools announced that, due to COVID-19 cases in the football program, they have rescheduled the football game against Henryetta for October 26. They will also moved the game against Beggs, but a date has not yet been set.

Monday, Oct. 5

Morris Public Schools: Morris Public Schools said, after advice from the Okmulgee Health Department, the entire district will be virtual starting October 6. They said students will return to in-person learning on October 19.

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced three positive COVID-19 cases, one student and two staff members. The district said they have contact those that were in contact with the individuals.


Sunday, Oct. 4

Oklahoma School For The Blind: The school announced Sunday that a member of its staff has tested positive for COVID-19. Students will begin distance learning on Monday, Oct. 5 and end on Thursday, Oct. 15 while the school is sanitized.

Vinita Public Schools: The school district announced Sunday that a staff member at the district's middle school has tested positive for COVID-19. District officials said they "completed our close contact responsibilities and found no effect on any students or staff members." In-person instruction at all sites, except for Vinita High School, will continue at this time.

Yale Public Schools: The 7-12th grade band has been exposed to a person that has tested positive for COVID-19. All wind instrument players are asked to remain at home Monday Oct 5 while the school investigates possible contacts.

Saturday, Oct. 3

Vinita Public Schools: Vinita Public Schools said it will transition to distance learning at its high school after confirming another COVID-19 case on Saturday afternoon.

Friday, Oct. 2

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools said one elementary student at Sadler Arts Academy has tested positive for the virus. The district said all affected areas will be cleaned before staff and students arrive on Monday.

Thursday, Oct. 1

Skiatook Public Schools: Officials said the football game between Skiatook and Oloogah-Talala is canceled due to a positive COVID-19 case. The Skiatook Superintendent said one player tested positive for COVID-19 and 40 others are in a 14-day quarantine. The Superintendent said they are looking to reschedule the game.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

Bixby Public Schools: Bixby High School said they have a confirmed case of COVID-19 at the school. They said those in close contact have been asked to quarantine.

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools said a staff member at the high school tested positive for COVID-19. The district said no students had direct contact with the employee and they are thoroughly cleaning affected areas of the high school overnight.

Berryhill Public Schools: Berryhill Public Schools announced that an individual at the high school tested positive for COVID-19 and the district said those students in contact have been asked to quarantine.

Morris Public Schools: Morris Public Schools announced a high school student and an employee tested positive for COVID-19. The district said they will have 10 students in quarantine.

Tuesday, Sept. 29

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools verified that a student at the 7th and 8th grade Academy tested positive for COVID-19.

Monday, Sept. 28

Salina Public Schools: Salina Public Schools announced that a middle school employee and a student have tested positive for COVID-19. The district said after contact tracing, 13 students are in quarantine.

Barnsdall Public Schools: Barnsdall Schools announced that two students at the elementary school have tested positive for COVID-19. The district said they are implementing contact tracing protocols.

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced that a staff member at New Tech @ Cherokee Elementary tested positive for COVID-19.

Liberty Public Schools In Mounds: The district announced they will continue distance learning through Oct. 6

Vinita Public Schools: The district announced Saturday that it will transition to distance learning at the high school only after a high school student tested positive for COVID-19.

Friday, Sept. 25

Oologah-Talala Public Schools: Oologah-Talala Public Schools said during the week of September 21-25, they have four new cases of COVID-19 in schools. There are now 148 students in quarantine and two staff members.

Tahlequah Public Schools: Tahlequah Public Schools said a student at the high school has tested positive for COVID-19. Officials said 6 other students will be quarantining as a result of close contact. Anyone who came into close contact was personally notified.

Wednesday, Sept. 23

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools verified that two more students have tested positive for COVID-19, but neither has been on campus this week. The district said those in direct contact have been notified.

Tuesday, Sept. 22

Locust Grove Public Schools: Locust Grove Public School officials said a staff member at the Early Learning Center has tested positive for COVID-19. The district said one kindergarten class and several other staff members are impacted by that coronavirus case. Anyone determined to be in close contact with that staff member will be notified and potentially asked to quarantine.

Morris Public Schools: Morris Public Schools announced that two employees have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two days. Additionally, two students have tested positive for the virus: a middle schooler and a high schooler. If your student has been around one of the employees or students, the school will contact you.

Monday, Sept. 21

Barnsdall Public Schools: Barnsdall Public Schools announced that a teacher at Barnsdall Elementary tested positive for COVID-19. The district said they have contacted parents of those in contact with the staff member.

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced that three more positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified at Muskogee High School.

Tahlequah Public Schools: Tahlequah Public Schools announced that one student at the high school has tested positive for COVID-19. Officials said 14 other students who were possibly in close contact with the student are now quarantining. Officials said everyone who came into close contact have been notified.


Friday, Sept. 18

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced that two students have tested positive for COVID-19. The district also said that four staff members at Irving Elementary will be in quarantine after contact with a parent who tested positive. The district is working on contact tracing.

Thursday, Sept. 17

Newcastle Public Schools: Newcastle Public Schools announced Thursday that Newcastle High School will move to distance learning Monday, September 21. The return of in-person classes is set for October 5. The district said the move is due to staff members being unable to report to work due to COVID-19 isolation or quarantine or other circumstances.


Sunday, Sept. 13

Tahlequah Public Schools: Tahlequah Public Schools said Sunday that an individual on one of its campuses has tested positive for COVID-19.

Friday, Sept. 11

Muskogee Public Schools: Muskogee Public Schools announced that one student at the high school has tested positive for COVID-19. Those that were in contact with the positive case will be quarantined.

Thursday, Sept 10

Berryhill Public Schools: Officials from Berryhill Public Schools said 2 individuals at the high school and 1 at the middle school have tested positive for COVID-19. Officials said after contact tracing was completed, it was determined that no faculty or students were exposed.

Union Public Schools: Union Public Schools released updated COVID-19 numbers and now have 11 staff members and 21 students across the district with positive COVID-19 cases. The district said there is a total of 345 people in quarantine or isolation across the district.


Wednesday, Sept. 9

Henryetta Public Schools: Officials from Henryetta Public Schools said that a faculty member tested positive for COVID-19. The district said that those in contact have been notified and will be in quarantine.

Monday, Sept. 7

Locust Grove Schools: Officials said a teacher at the Early Learning Center tested positive. They will transition to virtual learning through September 15, the district said.

Porter Schools: Officials from Porter Schools said they will be in distance learning through September 11 and all school activities will be canceled.

Saturday Sept. 5

Tahlequah Public Schools - Tahlequah Public Schools is reporting a new positive case of COVID-19 at Cherokee Elementary. School leaders sent a message to parents on Saturday saying that 19 students and one staff member will be required to begin and to immediate quarantine.

Wednesday Sept. 2

Kansas Public Schools in Delaware County - Will be transitioning to distance learning until Sept. 14.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

Locust Grove Public Schools: Locust Grove Public Schools announced Tuesday a middle school teacher has tested positive for COVID-19. Locust Grove Middle School will move to distance learning Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3, school officials said.

Barnsdall Public Schools: Barnsdall Public Schools announced an elementary student has tested positive and said those in close contact with this individual are now in quarantine.

Wagoner Public Schools: Wagoner Public Schools said a high school student has tested positive for COVID-19 and officials determined nobody at the school had been exposed.

Tahlequah Public Schools: Tahlequah Public Schools said a high school student and an elementary student have tested positive for COVID-19. Officials said there are now 18 elementary students, 4 high school students and 2 teachers in quarantine after contact tracing.

Monday August 31

Okmulgee Public Schools: Okmulgee Public Schools announced that Okmulgee High School will shift to distance learning until September 14 due to multiple confirmed COVID-19 cases. They have also canceled all extra-curricular and athletic events during this time period.

Sapulpa Public Schools: Sapulpa Public Schools announced that since school began on August 24, 6 students and 1 teacher have tested positive for COVID-19. They said there are now 65 students and 9 teachers and teachers' assistants in quarantine due to exposure.

Mannford Public Schools: Mannford Public Schools announced a positive case of COVID-19 and said they have notified those in close contact.

Verdigris Public Schools: Verdigris Public Schools superintendent said 2 elementary students have tested positive for COVID-19. 46 students and two teachers have now shifted to distance learning.

Tahlequah Public Schools: Tahlequah Public Schools said they have two teachers in quarantine after one tested COVID-19 positive. Officials said this will not affect the return of students to class on Wednesday.

Collinsville Public Schools: Collinsville Public Schools said 23 students have been quarantined after a 6th grade student tested positive for COVID-19.

McAlester Public Schools: McAlester Public School officials said a middle school student has tested positive for COVID-19. Officials said "The individuals who have been determined to be a close contact will be contacted. These individuals will be asked to quarantine."

Vinita Public School - A high school student has tested positive for COVID-19. School officials said the high school will transition for short-term distance learning.

Okemah Public Schools - Okemah said they have one confirmed COVID-19 case, and those effected have been asked to quarantine. School leaders said they will continue to follow the policies and procedures outlined in the OPS District’s re-opening plan that was implemented on the first day of school.


Sunday August 30

Tahlequah Public Schools - School leaders said out of respect for a teacher who has died, they will transition all traditional students to distance learning on Monday and Tuesday. Those students will return to in-person classes on Wednesday.


Friday, August 28

Locust Grove Public Schools: Officials announced that a part-time employee has tested positive for COVID-19. All that were in contact with the employee have been contacted and the areas considered high risk have been sanitized.

Berryhill Public Schools: The Superintendent announced that Berryhill High School will shift to distance learning until September 14 after a second individual at the High School tested positive for COVID-19. They said after contact tracing, 49% of students and 27% of faculty will be in quarantine for 14 days.


Thursday, August 27

Tahlequah Public Schools : Officials with Tahlequah Public Schools said they "received confirmation that a student at Tahlequah High School has tested positive for COVID-19" on Facebook Thursday. They have contacted those who were in contact with the student. They also said they are suspending all high school softball competitions until September 8.

Mannford Public Schools: Officials with Mannford Public Schools said the district was notified of two positive COVID-19 cases involving students at Mannford High School. Officials said students and staff who were in close contact have been informed.

Morris Public Schools: Officials said "a member of our varsity football team has tested positive for COVID." Officials said all members of the varsity football team and coaching staff will have to undergo quarantine until September 8th. Impacted students will take part in distance learning for that time.

Hartshorne Public Schools: Officials said there are 2 positive cases for COVID-19. They said they "have been notified that a 2nd student in the MS/HS building has tested positive for COVID-19."

Officials said "disinfecting protocols are being followed. The OSDH will perform contact tracing and may be communicating with you if you or your child were within 6ft of the infected person for 15 minutes or longer."


Tuesday, August 25

Glenpool Public Schools: Officials with Glenpool Public Schools said two kindergarten classes and their teachers have been placed under quarantine after one kindergarten student tested positive for COVID-19. The two classes will move to distance learning.


Friday, August 21

Haywood Public Schools: An employee at Haywood Public School has tested positive for COVID-19 — and two more employees have been quarantined as a precautionary measure. Haywood Public School Superintendent Bud Rattan said Friday the school is remaining open and classes are continuing as scheduled, with sanitizing and other precautionary measures underway.


Collinsville Public Schools: Collinsville Public Schools announced a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 at the high school, the district said on August 21.

Thursday, August 20

Grove Public Schools: Two students and two teachers have tested positive for COVID-19, Grove Public Schools announced.

McAlester Public Schools: McAlester announced they have five students with COVID-19 and will be starting school on August 25 with a divided student population.

Glenpool Public Schools: One student has tested positive for COVID-19, the district announced. That prompted 39 students and two teachers to move into quarantine.
