HURRICANE LAURA: A satellite captured these lightning bursts as Hurricane Laura moved toward the Gulf Coast on August 26. The National Hurricane Center called the storm a “major hurricane” with potential to cause “catastrophic” storm surge Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
