It has been a long two weeks for a family who lost a loved one and then separated to get medical care.
The father, Shawn Maguire, said it's because of the light of God and his medical team who got him through the hardest season of his life.
"There was a lot of talking, but they just were not talking to me, and she held my hand as it felt like they were scraping skin off my body," said Shawn Maguire.
On the morning of Sept. 24, a call to 911 was made after a house exploded in a northeast Oklahoma City neighborhood.
"I heard my neighbor, the husband is calling for help," a caller said.
These moments following the explosion changed the Maguire family forever.
Maguire's daughter Berklee, 14, died in the explosion.
Shawn Maguire, who experienced severe burns on his body, continues to thank the unknown hand that held his for the first moments.
Shawn Maguire is now out of the ICU and is said to be walking with a walker down the hospital's hallways.
As for his wife Tanda and son Hayden, they were released from the hospital five days after the explosion.
They are now recovering in a fully furnished home surrounded by their family and friends.
The family's GoFundMe has raised over $180,000 and is continuing to grow each day.
