1 Person Shot And Killed Amidst Denver Protests

The Denver Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened after hundreds gathered in Downtown Denver for two different protests and rallies on Saturday afternoon.

According to police one person was shot and killed. Police said two people, including one suspect, have been taken into custody in relation to the incident.

Denver CBS affiliate KCNC reported that people were arguing before shots were fired.

According to police, a mace canister was recovered from the scene, and it is currently unclear if it was involved in the situation.

The Denver Police Department said it is still trying to figure out what happened leading up to the shooting.
