Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett will be back on Capitol Hill for more hearings after facing questions from Senators on Tuesday.

Wednesday's hearing is expected to be shorter compared to Tuesday, which lasted nearly 12 hours.

Judge Barrett has said if she is confirmed, her rulings will be based on the law and not her personal opinions.

Democrats questioned her about multiple topics, including the Affordable Care Act and abortion rights.

"Judges can't just wake up one day and say 'I have an agenda: I like guns, I hate guns, I like abortion, I hate abortion' and walk in like a royal queen and impose, you know, their will on the world," Judge Barrett said.

Judge Barrett did not state if she would recuse herself on any possible cases involving the election.

She also made it clear that she has not had any conversations with the White House on specific cases.

Judge Barrett said "I certainly hope that all members of the committee have more confidence in my integrity than to think that I would allow myself to be used as a pawn to decide this election for the American people."

The Committee is scheduled to vote on Barrett's nomination on Thursday. Then the vote would be delayed for a week, per committee rules, and taken up for a final vote on Thursday, October 22nd.
