Parents have started wondering about the next steps for their kids after the Statewide Virtual School Board began the process to end their contract with Epic Charter Schools.
The board did tell parents and teachers that this school year would not be impacted by their decision, but parents are still left thinking about what could come next for their kids.
"My family and I have discussed that we are not sending them to a brick-and-mortar or public school, we will continue with either online or virtual schooling," said parent Sara Seabolt.
Seabolt has two kids in Epic and said it's been a great school for her family.
"We do foster care, and our dynamic is younger kids, so it's easier for us to teach from home rather than send to public schools," Seabolt said.
The virtual school board will hold a hearing where they will decide on the contract.

Epic released a statement saying once they can present their side of the audit, they will prevail for their students and employees.
If the contract ends, parents may have to find other options. Seabolt said she will choose another virtual school and is worried for parents who may not have that choice.
"Whether they are a foster family or a large family, they have special needs, the time schedule for public school doesn't really fit their needs as a family, so I think that's where it's really going to mess with everyone," Seabolt said.
That hearing is scheduled for January 20, 2021, but that could still change.
