The Sherwin Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa is another week closer to opening its new Holocaust center.
It will be the only Holocaust center in Oklahoma once its completed. Museum staff said one of the key additions in the new center is the Kristallnacht exhibit.
“We brought in local Oklahoma artists, Tracy and Rick Bewley, and they did an installation that's two stories tall with over 250 pieces of glass that are hanging from our ceiling to emulate the stained glass windows and synagogues that were destroyed in those events,” Director of Collections and Exhibitions Mickel Yantz said.
The new Holocaust center near 71st and South Lewis will open in November.
