Senators spent their final day of questioning Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett on topics such as voting rights, healthcare, and immigration.

Barrett once again tried to assure them she would make her own decisions if she's confirmed to the Supreme Court.

Judge Barrett promised to keep an open mind on major issues like abortion and healthcare.

Senator Kamala Harris also questioned Judge Barrett about a Supreme Court ruling that struck down part of the Voting Rights Act.

Judge Barrett said "I will not comment on what any Justice said in an opinion, whether that opinion is right or wrong.''

If Judge Barrett is confirmed, the Supreme Court would shift to a six to three conservative majority.

The Senate Judicial Committee's vote on Barrett's nomination is scheduled for October 15.

However, democrats are expected to request a hold which would push the vote to the following week.
