The Senate Judiciary Committee has set next Thursday to vote on whether to recommend judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Democrats used their time on Thursday to ask for more Republicans to not confirm Judge Barrett.

The committee voted along party lines to go ahead with Judge Barrett's confirmation, despite a push to stall from Democrats.

Representatives from the American Bar Association also testified Thursday. They told senators that Judge Barrett is "well qualified" for the position.

The Senate will start debates on Judge Barrett's confirmation on Friday, October 23rd, one day after the committee's vote.
