Osage Nation To Hold Ribbon Cutting For New Green House, Programs Building

On Monday, the Principal Chief of the Osage Nation will cut the ribbon on a new green house growing space and a programs building totaling more than 85,000 square feet. The buildings will include aquaponics and food processing areas and according to the Osage Nation, the aquaponics area is already sprouting with fresh greens and vegetables. The food grown in the facilities will be used to address food security disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Monday, the Principal Chief of the Osage Nation will cut the ribbon on a new green house growing space and a programs building totaling more than 85,000 square feet.

The buildings will include aquaponics and food processing areas and according to the Osage Nation, the aquaponics area is already sprouting with fresh greens and vegetables.

The food grown in the facilities will be used to address food security disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear and other tribal officials will hold the ceremony at the Nation's Bird Creek Farm in Pawhuska at 1 p.m. on Monday.
